Welcome to our new Blog!!

I have been meaning to do this for awhile now but you know "life" sometimes gets in the way of good intentions! I want a place where my friends and family can go and see what we have going on! So I am starting today!

Most of you know all about us but some of you may be coming here to visit via my other blog or website! Our family is big and close and we all enjoy spending time together..mostly outdoors! There is nothing better than a nice sunny day, sitting outside, watching the kids and dogs play, and of course with a nice cold beverage of choice nearby!!! (you know, Coca Cola, Sweet Tea, oh yeah...a little beer goes down well in the heat of the summer too!)

"We" are Shawn and Karla and our children are Samantha (12), Bailey (6), and Caden (3)!!!! We stay very busy with the kids, not to mention we have to go to work sometimes too! Karla is also starting a business of sewing and embroidery and it has really taken off over the past year! Shawn loves sports and the outdoors and yep, you guessed it, beer! Samantha lives in Mobile with her Mom, "second" Dad, brother, and 2 sisters.(I get the honor of being her "second" Mom). Bailey and Caden look forward to visiting with their sister as often as possible! Samantha has made all of us very proud over the years and we have a very close relationship with both families! (She can not get away with anything having 2 Moms and 2 Dads watching over her!!!)

Bailey is enjoying Kindergarten this year and has made lots of new friends! Bailey is a social butterfly and loves to be around lots of people. She takes tumbling and plays T Ball in the spring, Soccer in the fall! Caden is all boy and his first word was "ball"....he absolutely loves anything to do with balls and sports! He also likes big trucks!

All 3 kids in Panama City during July 4th 2007! We had the time of our lives and can not wait to go back!!!!



Lake Martin at the end of Summer 2007. Due to the drought conditions all year long last year the water was down so far that you could walk under all the piers! We are glad to hear that the levels have come back up this year as this is one of our favorite places to go!
