Halloween Fun!

I just had to post this awesome picture of the 4 Amigos! I just love all of these kids! And every year we all have the best time trick or treating!

Caden was the Hulk (yes again) and again he did not prefer to wear the mask! Bailey was super cool as Wonder Woman and needless to say there is no way she will be able to sport that skirt again next year! Benjamin was fighting off the bad guys as a boxer and Erin made us all giggle while she Clowned around!

2009 Girls Soccer

Bailey has had a wonderful time this year with soccer! All of the girls seem to have really grown this year. Tonight was the last game and it was another winner! I snapped this shot after the game was over. Don't they all look so happily tired out?!?!

Bailey's new "girlie girl" pants!

Bailey has been envious of these everytime she sees one of her girlfriends wearing them at school. So I finally got down to it and made her a pair! And of course a shirt to coordinate. I guess I will have to get started on another pair cause these are not gonna cut it as the weather cools off!!!!

When you get a new box

OK so who had the bright idea to pack a new futon in our new box...really? Come on people..you know that we did not really want a new futon..we just wanted a box so we could make a new house right in the doorway of the hall!

At least Ruby appreciates the contents of the box more than the box itself!

There is some serious construction and concentration going on.
Ruby nominated herself as the official foreman of the project.

Do you see the word "trouble" written anywhere in this picture?

Hard to believe that Bailey Bug will soon be 8 years old!

The house has been labeled and there is an approved guest list that includes everyone but Mom and Dad (yes even the dogs are welcome!)

Soccer 2009

Saturday was the official 2009 Youth Soccer Opening Day and dedication of the new Soccer Complex in our town. Everyone is excited to have regulation fields to use for Fall Soccer. And during the ceremonies the announcement was made that Spring Soccer will be start in 2010! (um yay, I think!!)

The children getting settled in for the ceremonies. Our team is the Cyclones and we are made up of 1st and 2nd grade girls. A few cool facts about the team this year: all 6 girls go to the same school, 3 are 2nd graders, 3 are 1st graders, & the 1st graders are all in the same class together!!

Ladajah, Bailey, Kaitlyn.

Some of the organized chaos getting ready for the ceremony. I was not able to get any pics during the actual game due to weather! The rain actually held out for the first half and then sprinkled on the girls the whole second half!

Our New Backyard!

Our backyard needed some work (still more to do but we are now well on the way)

Friday afternoon our yard looked like this:

Then we decided to move some grass and weeds out of the way:

And of course nothing would be complete without a visit from the dump truck!

You can not even imagine the dirt that went down the drain after these two conquered the mountain!

After a lot of hard work we got to this point on Saturday:

Then the real fun began:

Now we have this!!!!!!! I am so pleased! I can not wait for it all to settle in. The kids and dogs are itching to go play but they will have to wait quit a while!

Well, it happened! Snow in middle/lower Alabama..and real snow..not just the kind that makes you wish you had snow. No grass covered, muddy snowmen here. We had the honest to goodness fluffy stuff and it was beautiful!

There are a lot of pics....The kids loved it and did not want to come in.

Trees are so pretty covered in snow.

Ruby was very apprehensive at first..but she got over it..and when she did it was hard to get her inside too! We would make snowballs and through them up, she would jump and catch them!! So funny. All of the "kids" had fun eating their share of snow!

Gotta love the Snow Chick! She would not be complete without her cowgirl hat and scarf! Of course we did not have the usual accessories of the Frosty kind. So we improvised. Large lego blocks make awesome snowman eyes, nose, and buttons!!!! Isn't she beautiful!

A Sneak Peak for Kim

We are having a baby shower for Kim..my best girl from wayyyy back! Kim is having her 2nd child and it is going to be a girl! Brody had all kinds of cute boyish personalized stuff when he was little but I was not doing it at that time (booowhoo). So now that we are waiting for Mattison Taylor I have all kinds of things I want to make her. Kim has been begging for a peak and this is all she is getting until Saturday!

This burp is part of a 4 piece collection that you can see on my website by clicking here You can get them for yourself or to give as gifts. I also offer direct shipping for those friends and family members that are out of town!

I don't know what to say!

I got Bailey's new camera to use for some quick embrodery pictures. When I put them on the computer there were some that she has taken recently waiting to be downloaded!

This is what I found! I reall do not know what to blog about this..only that I knew it had to be posted somewhere for the world to see!

Bailey on Camera

We got a web cam a couple of weeks ago and have been playing around with it. The kids have been having fun making some videos. We hope to use it more often to keep family and friends updated on things!!! Here is Bailey's first try at it! (with Ruby by her side)

Obviously I have to figure out a way to have better quality..but it's a start!

Me, The Girls, and My Man!

Shawn's Mom and Dad brought Samantha up this weekend and we enjoyed a great visit! Saturday night we all went to the Professional Bull Riding event in Columbus, GA. Some friends of ours were there also and we all had a great time. The kids loved it! Samantha snapped this pic while we were outside waiting to go in. Sam got a new camera from Santa this year and she just loves it! I will post some more pics soon!

Me, Rosa, Brandy, and Shawn grinning in the back!

Feeling Fine in 2009

OK..I have decided that I have missed blogging and really want to dedicate a little more time to keeping up with everything. Now keep in mind that this is January and I make no promises what might happen in August! So I am going to challenge myself to post an update once a ...hmmm...ok once a month! Maybe more! I also enjoy rambling so this is as good a place as any!

So here are today's ramblings:

First, I would like to point any other fellow bloggers to visit The Cutest Blog on the Block where you can find some of the CUTEST templates for your blog! The two ladies have an eye for cute and I will be visiting their site often. Oh...did I mention Cute AND Free! You can get lots of things free and you can also have them personalize some things for you with a small fee!

Second, (and for some this might be TMI but for my "girls" out there in the same situation you just have to hear about this information). In December I underwent a simple outpatient procedure called Novasure...I will not go into graphic detail but it is designed to help eleviate the problems some of us have with very very heavy monthly cycles. If you have ever had to rearrange your daily life around your period this is worth asking your Dr. about. You can read about the procedure on the Novasure website. I do not yet know the final results of my procedure but my outlook is very positive! I will try to keep you updated on this!

Third, I can not make a post without updating friends and family on how the children are doing! They are great! Samantha is totally a middle schooler and we had a great visit with her this past weekend. Bailey loves school and would prefer not to have extra days off. Caden is a handful as usual but he is really growing up!!! Maybe on my next post I will have some new updated pics of the kids.

Thanks for listening!!! Enjoy your day!

Geez, that happened fast! Last time I sat down to breath we had just started 1st grade and now we are making plans for New Year's Eve! It has been a very busy holiday season for our family and my business! I have had an awesome time and wrapped up all the gift orders on the 23rd! We left at 7 am on Christmas Eve for Bay Minette to visit with Shawn's family. Everyone was there and after exchanging gifts with each other and the youngest children we played Dirty Santa! It is always so much fun!

This year was an extra special treat for us. Our oldest daughter, Samantha, was with us on Christmas Eve and Christmas morning! In the past we have always picked her up on Christmas morning but this year everyone's schedules and plans worked out this way! Bailey and Caden were so excited to have 'Mantha with them for Santa's visit and Samantha thought it was fun too!

We left from Bay Minette and headed to Mobile for some more Christmas cheer at my Aunt's house. Aunt Diana (my mom's sister) worked up a great feast! Again we were all together to exchange gifts and just be together.

Today we headed home and we will spend the weekend settling in looking forward to a new year!!!!

Here is one of the pics that I took with Samantha's new camera! Aren't they so sweet!

Fall is in the air!

I know..it has been a terribly long time since I have posted anything. We are full swing into 1st Grade with Bailey. Then they both started soccer a few weeks ago and that has been umm....interesting! I should have soccer pics to post soon!

In the meantime, we all spent the weekend with the Boyse side of the family. Sunday October 5th was Paula and Brian's 40th wedding anniversary and all Paula wanted was to have some family pics made. Needless to say this seems like a small task but to get the entire bunch of us in one place, at one time, all dressed alike, and ready for pictures is a HUGE task! But we did it! And we even had some more family to join us becuase Karla's Mom, SIL Angel, and cutest niece ever, Zoey came over to stick their heads in the camera!

I do not have any of the pics to post here but you can check them all out on Christy's website by clicking here. Please sign the guestbook and leave Christy a note so she will know you were there!!!

Oh yeah..and if you want to order prints you can do so right from her site!

Bailey starts 1st grade!

OK it is official...my baby girl is in 1st grade! So hard to believe...I think she grew up over night cause she was so mature looking and acting this morning! She had a bad case of the jumping beans before bed last night and I can only imagine how long she was in there just anticipating going to school today!!!

Her teacher's name is Ms. Marshall and she seems to be really great! Bailey is also excited because several of her friends from last year are in her class. Gracie, Drew, and Parker!!!

I will meet the bus at home this afternoon and hear all about her day!

Bailey will definitely have a unique backpack for a girl! And of course I had to put her name on it in bright pink!!! Camo always needs some pink!

As you can see she also got a serious haircut a few weeks ago! It is sooo cute!

Caden can not wait to go to school and loves to have his picture made with Bailey!

Then he heard a "big truck" somewhere down the road and got distracted from the picture moment!!!

July 4th Fun in the Sun

We all went camping at Wind Creek State Park on Lake Martin for July 4th!! It was an awesome week even though we did have to endure a few rough thunderstorms. Bailey is not very thrilled with storms.

Shawn's parents & our nephew (Trent) brought Samantha up and spent the weekend visiting with us! I think they had a relaxing time!

Trent & Bailey enjoyed each other all weekend!

The family left Sunday morning and we just lazed around for the rest of the day! As you can see even the dogs relaxed!!! I would love to show you a better pic of Samantha but when she wasn't off riding her bike through the trails this was about all I saw of her!!!

Samantha and Bailey spent a lot of time riding down this trail by the water. Sam said it was such a relaxing place and she liked to go there right around dusk.

This is one tired little boy! He played his heart out and slept well every night!

And of course I could not have a post without talking about how good Ruby is! She is a great camping dog and loves to be with the kids. Shawn took her swimming several times in the late afternoon after things calmed down!!! Most nights she slept right where you see her...snuggled up between Mom and Bailey!!
